About this wine:
Beside for its delicious white wines the Danube plain PGI, is also famous for elegant yet powerful reds of pinot noir, thanks to de moderate Continental climate. The grapes for the wine were gathered end of September year 2016 from the vineyards of Winery Tsarev Brod close to the city of Shumen.
The wine ferments for 30 days in small open vessels with periodic immersion of the cap. So fermented, the wine matures in vessels laying over the sediment for six months, where the transformation of the apple acid into milk acid, also known as the malolactic fermentation, naturally goes.
This wine has a medium ruby colour. Fruity nose with aromas are of delicious strawberry, raspberry, cherry, notes of toast, clove and spice. Light to medium body wine with silky texture, low on tannines. The wine shows excellent fruit purity and persistency and offers layers of delightful fruit flavours with hight acidity. The finish is smooth and elegant.
