“Aplauz” serie is top class varietal wines from Villa Melnik. Made from carefully hand-selected grapes of Early Melnik Vine aka Melnik 55 – a crossing of Broadleaved Melnik Vine and Valdigue. Grown in its native terroir – Harsovo, near Melnik. It has been harvested during the third week of September in full ripeness and optimum parameters. Aged at least for 12 months in new/ old Bulgarian oak barrels, with perfect shape for long life.

Our tasting notes: 
The wine has deep garnet colour.   Intense aromas of ripe cherries, mulberry, roasted plums with cinnamon, cloves and notes of coffee, milk chocolate, toast. On the palate taste of ripe forest fruits, ripe cherries, notes of tobacco leaf, leather, coffee and spices after aging for 15 months in partially new, partially old Bulgarian oak barrels. This wine has full body and many ripe polished tannins with a long-lasting aftertaste, a real blockbuster that typifies the warm southwest Bulgaria.
