The "AplauZ" brand includes premium selection wines from winery Villa Melnik, South Bulgaria. It is made from carefully hand-selected grapes of the typical aromatic variety of the Sandanski Misket region. The grape is named to the town in region - Sandanski and in Struma Valley it is counted. Sandanski misnet is perhaps, derived from the common and best known Red Misket or simply Miskent grape that is thus found all over the country. Misket is capable of making from basic to premium wines and here Villa Melnik has scored, in our opinion, a top misket wine that is definitely a something to discover.

Our tasting notes: 

The wine has a beautiful lemon-yellow colour. The nose is clean, rather elegantly floral and mineral. Mainly aromas of white flowers, chamomile, ripe citrus apple best and pear, hints of white pepper. On the palate light and elegant in the mouth confirmation of ripe citrus fruits, floral and some mineral with light body and nice, refreshing taste with mineral notes on the finish.

Best with: green salads, seafood, white fish, mussels, sushi, Thai, some spicy food.
