From French "Pamplemousse", which means 'grapefruit'. The name was born from the predominant aroma and taste of ripe red grapefruit, which is mainly imparted by Cabernet Sauvignon.
Winemaker sais: "For the first harvest, we are working with international red varieties from our new vineyards in the 'Datarlaa' area of Shishmanovo village, South Sakar. The vineyard was established in 2016, and here the soils are more clayey compared to those of our old vineyards in the Armutluka area. The wine is a 'cépage' (the 3 varietals pressed and fermented together) of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, hand-picked on September 17, 2021, especially for this rosé . Fermentation took place with "wild" yeast (the natural microflora from the vineyard). The wine is not cold stabilized - the appearance of a harmless crystalline sediment is possible. Produced in a limited quantity of 2230 bottles.
Our tasting notes:
Onion skin colour with peach-honey undertones. Rich aromatic profile with a standout attack of red grapefruit and small red fruit. Supple and juicy body with a soft structure, hints of herbs and a slightly spicy aftertaste. The feeling of grapefruit and small red fruit is also given in the taste with a gentle freshness and a nice light bitterness in the finish. Well balanced wine, dry with distinguish profile and elegance, suitable for many occasions.
