Tasting notes: Straw-coloured wine made from 100% Tamianka, which means in ancient Bulgarian “frankincense.” In the nose is fresh, young and with pronounced aromas of fruit and flowers - lemon, gooseberry, white peach, mandarin, orange zest, white blossoms and grass. In the mouth is dry with high acidity and medium body. More pronounced, rich texture and more intensity than vintages before (result of fermentation with yeast from own vineyard and long contact with the skin "sur lie"). In the mouth back to taste taste of fresh citrus, grapefruit, dried herbs, with long pleasant aftertaste.
Food match:on its own, with fish dishes and herbs, sushi, slightly spicy Asian food, salads with citron or honey dressing, sauce based on mustard, goat cheese salads, mature cheeses.
The exceptional Tamianka grape from the 2013 harvest bring Bratanov to the purest terroir expression of this authentic variety for the Balkans: the very first Bratanov Tamianka Single Vineyard.
