This Melnik wine is produced solely from grapes from the Damyanov vineyard near Melnik, situated south-western of Bulgaria. The “old vine” +60 years old are responsible for a pure expression of Broad leaved Melnik variety as a harmonious, complex and well-balanced wine. It aged for 12 months in one time used French oak barrels. The oak aging adds to the fruity character of the Broad leaved Melnik complexity, depth and structure.

Our tasting notes: 

 The wine is characterized by a beautiful, ruby colour with garnet rim. Intense and distinctive fresh aromas of ripe strawberry, raspberry, cherry, perfume, black pepper, cinnamon, toast and mokka. This wine is dry with natural high acidity, alongside with pleasant delicate fruit and spice on the finish. Medium bodied, with ripe smooth tannins and good flavours concentration, perfectly balanced with rich pallet and complexity. Simply a delicious wine from the rare Melnik variety.
