• Bratanov 3-Blend 2017

"Our answer and vision from region Sakar, Bulgaria of the" Bordeaux-blend "- balanced blend of 50% Merlot (obtained in stainless steel tank), 35% Cabernet Franc and for "pepper and salt" 15% the local Rubin (matured in various oak barrels in total for 30 months). Extremely precise work of our oenologist Maria Stoeva in choosing the right barrels and proportions of them to make this blend!"- said from Bratanov winery.

3 wine makers - Maria Stoeva (Bulgaria), J. Weaver (New Zealand), R. Lablanz (Hungary)

3 varieties - two international and one local, from our own vines in South Sakar

30 months - aging in barrels of different origin and content as well as in neutral barrels / stainless steel tanks

Our tasting notes:

Wine with deep ruby colour and some garnet nuance. Nose is pronounced and at the same time delicate yet developing. Flavours are of ripe cherry, plums, dry red fruits, red bell pepper, nutmeg, toast, coffee and touches of earth (forest floor) and leather. In the mouth is dry, medium acidity and medium body. Intensive flavours to find back, ripe and dried fruits, black peppers, nutmeg, smokey toasty notes and leather. Juicy with very good structure and lots of ripe tannins with very smooth long aftertaste. Ready to drink up to 5 years more.
