The diversity and potential of the Sakar terroir inspire Bratanov winemakers to experiment with Wild Fermentation this Chardonnay, aged following the "Sur Lie" method – which means maturing on fine lees in the case of this vintage 2017 for 8 months. This most natural ripening process, without intervention of oak barrels, reveals totally the qualities of this noble variety Chardonnay. Pure terroir expression of Sakar, South -Eastern Bulgaria.
Our Tasting notes: This wine has golden colour with a slight green nuance. Fresh floral aromas, blossom, with touch of ripe citrus and yellow stone fruits. A complex and rich palette of delicate acacia, roasted nuts and croissant. It has bright acidity, dense medium body and long lasting finish.
Best with:
chicken and fish dishes with light sauces, asparagus, salmon, scallops,Calf's Fricassee, fresh pasta with vegetables or dairy sauces, soft cheeses (Brie, Camembert).
