• Bratanov Rosé 'Marie Chérie' 2024

This is an unusual, complex, and serious rosé made from 100% Syrah, for the lovers of more structured and darker-hued rosés! Made by using the Saignée method (the bleeding of juice from the tank after several hours of maceration with the skins, without pressing) from the finest grapes of a selected plot, harvested at full phenolic ripeness as for red wine. Fermentation is spontaneous, with the natural microflora of the vineyard, known as "wild" yeasts. It commenced in stainless steel tanks and culminated in oak barrels, with a total aging of 20 months solely in 2 Bulgarian 400-liter barrels, second use. The wine is not cold-stabilized - the appearance of harmless crystal-clear sediment is possible. Produced in a limited quantity of 950 bottles!

Our Tasting Notes: Intense and deep pink colour with subtle coppery hues. Complex aroma of ripe red fruits, salinity, and spices, which also reveal themselves in the flavours. The body is juicy and rounded, with additional notes of spices, dried olives, ripe cherries, and a hint of smokiness. It has a soft finish of ripe strawberries and blackberries with a long aftertaste. Potential for aging (2023-2027).

Pairing: Tuna, duck with fruity sauces, lamb chops (a l'anglaise), as well as spicy curries. Versatile and gastronomic rosé.
