Yagorida is a dry red wine, a blend of Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged 48 months in oak!

Yagorida is called the second knot of the vine. The first link is the actual grape as we know it - well-shaped bunches of grapes that ripen well and can turn into fine wine. Along with the actual grape or a little after it, the yagorida grows. It is a small cluster at the top of some of the vine branches.

Strawberry is also called the "poor man's grape". Sometimes winegrowers nibble on the sweet and sour 'yagorids' to refresh themselves while picking the actual grapes for high-quality wine.

Making wine from 'yagorids' is not easy – they are wild, with intense flavors and aromas, with high acids and sharp tannins. This wine is a symbol of self-preservation and the choices we must make to preserve ourselves and what we love. It is also a symbol of invincibility, of unbreakable life force and of an unquenchable desire to live.

Yagorida wine of Villa Melnik, small grape clusters at the vine tips, survived as a phoenix after the dramatic Hailstorm 2016 and ripened. The wine has unique concentration and structure, intense fruit profile and long vivid aftertaste. Symbol of the vine’s inextinguishable will to live and grow.
