About this wine:
Amber Harvest – the name is meant to be used only for exceptional good harvest year for Tsarev Brod winery. Only 10% of the Chardonnay ferments in new oak, 20% in older generation oak vessels and the rest in stainless steel. Next 12 months on the lees, which results in elegant, complex and nicely balanced wine.
The wine has medium intense golden colour. Expressive nose of fresh yellow fruit – pear, quince, peach and mango as well as some toasty and brioche, honing notes yet developing. In the mouth, very juicy, complex and balanced. Perfectly retained acidity with medium body and medium aftertaste remains the stone fruit with subtle mineral notes.
Food match: fish, chicken breast, turkey, cheeses- (Brie, Camembert, Reblochon, Saint-Nectaire, Tomme de Savoie), risotto, Chicory au gratin with ham and cheese sauce…
