• Pitos 2011

On the bottle, is a colourful painting of “Pitos”, which means ‘Thracian bowl for wine”. Thracians laid it under the ground to allow fermentation of the wine at constant temperature.

Consistent with Dragomir winemaker's attitude to the best grapes harvested that year, selected very carefully the vines and adapted just the right quantities of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Rubin for PITOS 2011. Matured in barrels for 12 months, before it was blended and bottled. Another12 months aging in bottle.

Our tasting notes:

This wine has a deep, grenade colour. The nose is rich, black cherry keys, cassis coffee, dried tomato, mint and red pepper. The body is full, tight and with ripe, grainy tannins, black fruit, toast and vanilla. A long finish. Simply a top wine !
We recommend to open at least one hour before enjoying it.
Best with:
all kind red meats, veal, pork, duck meat, and ripened cheese types, cold meat starters, stews
