In addition to the delicious white wines, the Danube Plain PGI is also known for its elegant and tasteful pinot noir red, thanks to the temperate continental climate in this region. The grapes were harvested at the end of September 2018 from the winemaker's own vineyard, Tsarev Brod, in the Black Sea region.
The wine is fermented with wild yeast in a 1000-liter open-top stainless steel container. It remain for 1 year with the fine lees, without addition, to continue all natural processes in the wine and also the spontaneous malolactic fermentation!
Our tasting notes:
This wine has a medium garnet colour. The nose is attractive and pronounced, with notes of ripe strawberry, raspberry, mocha, butter, vanilla and toast. Balanced on the palate with medium body and velvet, soft tannins. Pronounced flouters of delicate red berry with herbal aftertaste. Long, fresh and concentrated finish. A very elegant enjoyable wine!
Best with:
red meat – steak, fillet American, wild, poultry-duck fillet, chicken, cheeses.
