About this wine:
This wine is made from organically grown grapes of 75% Mavrud & 25% Rubin grape varieties, indigenous to Bulgaria. Mavrud originated more than 3000 year ago, while Rubin was created in the 1950-ies as a result of the creative efforts of Bulgarian oenlogists.
Our tasting Notes: The wine has intense and vivid colour, fresh ripe cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry, violets. Elegantly integrated oak aging of a couple of months. Medium body with fresh acidity and well-balanced taste and finish.
Best with: various meats, cold meat starters, pork with cream sauces, lamb, steak, BBQ. Fish such as salmon or solid fish on the barbecue. tapas and on its own.
