This “Orange”/natural wine is made from Keratsuda, a symbolic variety for the Struma Valley, famous wine region, near the boarder of Greece. Often overlooked, and used for basic table wine, but last decennia its potential in a different manifestation is very much welcomed. The orange colour is due to using the “orange wine” production technology, leaving the grape skins and seeds in contact with the juice for about 25 days. Then the wine ages for 10 months in used French oak barrels. Unfiltered.
Our tasting notes:
The wine is characterized by a beautiful, deep gold colour. Complex and distinctive aromas of ripe stone fruit, quince, dried flowers, honey, mandarin, smoke notes. This wine is bone dry with good acidity, well balanced structured and full-bodied wine. Complex yet elegant alongside with pleasant spice finish. One well-made Orange wine, to surprise everyone.
Best with:
pasta, white meats, poultry, rich fish, half -ripe -ripe yellow cheese.
