“Bulgarian Heritage” brand. The idea behind these wines is to show the potential of the indigenous Bulgarian grape varieties from the most popular red like “Mavrud” and white “Dimyat” to the almost forgotten one like “Red Misket”.
This wine is made of 100 % Dimyat, a local variety of Bulgaria. Dimyat is an old dessert grape variety. It ripes early – with the fall of the first autumn leaves. Today, Dimyat can be found throughout Bulgaria and gives fine dry fresh wines, fragrant and harmonic. Just like this one.
Our tasting notes: This wine has a light lemon delicate colour. Nose is medium intensive with the typical Dimyat aromas of green pear, apple, lemon, white peach. Attractive scent of roasted nuts, toast, and touch of flinty mineral. In the mouth, it is dense with medium body. Pear, citrus, roasted almonds, flinty mineral and smokey notes . Dry, with bright acidity, yet delicate and very enjoyable wine.
Best with:
on its own as aperitif, mussels, pasta with vegetables or with seafood, trout with vegetables, chicken, white meat, salads and fruit dessert.
