"Merul” series are typical representatives of the “new world” that conquered the wine manufacturing for the last couple of years. The maceration and fermentation of the grapes is carried out in stainless steel fermenters with precisely controlled temperature. The wines of this series are pure grape expression - well balanced, aromatic and fruity. 
The grapes come from the own vineyards of Rumelia winery, situated in Panagyrishte region, well-known for its Mavrud - PGI Thracian Valley.

Our tasting notes: 

This Merul Mavrud has intense purple red colour. Attractive and savoury on the nose with sour-cherry and musk. Medium body with lots of ripe soft tannin, intriguing spicy finish with touch of red fruit. Rustic profile and very pure thanks to vindication and aging only in inox tanks.

stews, red meats, grilled / oven baked meats, lamb and game, grilled vegetables, pasta, pizza with red sauce.
