Vintage Pop Up: Wines that “emerge” from the unique character of a specific vintage, created only when nature allows or inspires us. A wine from this range may appear just once or not be produced every year.
Vineyard & harvest: When a vintage offers Syrah and Viognier from two adjacent plots that ripen at the same time, you create… a South Sakar-style blend! A warm and dry growing season led to an exceptionally fast ripening, resulting in an early harvest on August 29, 2024. The vineyards in the Datarla area are organically certified (since December 2024) and are farmed sustainably without ploughing.
Vinification & ageing: Spontaneous co-fermentation of Viognier and Syrah with native yeasts. No oak influence: aged for 11 months in stainless steel, followed by 6 months of bottle ageing. Unfiltered and unstabilized (natural sediment may occur).
Production: Only 7,082 bottles.
Tasting notes: Bright violet in colour. The nose reveals a rich and layered array of intense fruit and floral aromas: ripe blackberry, cherry, plum and violet. The palate is smooth, generous and juicy, with a velvety texture. The wine impresses with a refined balance of ripe fruit and subtle spice. Viognier adds its signature touch with notes of peach and almond, in elegant harmony with the Syrah. The finish is long, with hints of dark chocolate and cherry.
Food pairing: Vegetarian dishes, poultry, light meats with fruity sauces, mushroom risotto and semi-mature cheeses.
Serving tip: 16–18°C · Drinking window: 2026–2036.
Note: The wine is not filtered before bottling – noble sediment may occur.
