Among the many red grape varieties in the Thracian Valley region, there is a white variety that is also prominent in the region and at many wineries, including 'Four Friends'. Zitara Chardonnay is their single vineyard, organic grape, located in the village of Zmeyovo, just a little further than the winery itself. A classic white wine vinification process is applied, such as hand-picked grapes from selected plots, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, and aging in oak barrels for 9 months with regular batonnage. The aim is for the wine to acquire a rich structure and texture in this way, enhancing flavor and better integration of oak barrel aging.

With great precision and expertise, winemaker Petar Iliev has crafted this wine. And you can taste it in the glass. Beautiful deep golden colour. An attractive and royal nose. Intense aroma dominated by exotic and stone fruit, roasted nuts, floral of acacia and vanilla. The taste is rich with hints of stone and exotic fruit, a touch of butter, butterscotch, croissant  and oaky undertones, remains refined and harmonious. Balanced, medium-bodied with a good structure and balance between oak barrel aging and fruitiness.
