• Bulgarian Heritage Mavrud 2017

About this wine:

The idea behind the  Bulgarian Heritage” line is to show the potential of the indigenous Bulgarian grape varieties, from the most popular red like “Mavrud” and white “Dimyat” to the almost forgotten ones like “Red Misket”.

The Mavrud is an ancient Bulgarian grape variety. It can be found especially in the South of Bulgaria -  PGI Thracian Valley, where it achieves its best results . Mavrud wines are produced in different styles. This wine has an elegant, fresh and fruity profile. It is aged for 9 months in new oak barrels.

Tasting notes:
A wine with deep ruby-red colour. Rich aromas of  sweet spices, toast and sour cherry, roasted plum with vanilla and spice. Good, medium juicy body, lot of ripe tannin, combined with fresh fruits – mulberry, bramble, plum and slightly spicy, smoky medium finish. Very enjoyable wine with good structure and freshness!
