Tasting notes:
This misket wine has clean pale lemon color. The nose is expressive and very enjoyable floral and fruity. Aroma of white blossom, rose petal, herbs, white peach, lemon, and fresh pineapple. In the mouth is bone-dry with bright integrated acidity. Intensive flavours of mellow fruit and fresh tropical fruit, also floral herbal notes. Medium body with some yogurt/ creamy notes, result of few months ripening on the "lees". This is a very balanced, round and yet fresh wine from a good vintage 2019!

Food match:
on its own, salads, sushi, pasta with tomato sauce or spicy sauce, fruit dessert, soft ripe cheese

“Bulgarian Heritage” brand – the idea behind these wines is to show the potential of the indigenous Bulgarian grape varieties from the most popular red like “Mavrud” and white “Dimiat” to the almost forgotten one like “Red Misket”.

“Misket” grape? Then you think, "this is probably a mistake. That Bulgarian winemaker means Muscat of course!". But no, Red Misket is an indigenous Bulgarian grape that has no genetically relation to Muscat, but is similar in taste and style. Its full name is "Red Misket", because it has red / pinkish skin.
