The "AplauZ" brand contains premium selection wines from winery Villa Melnik, Southern Bulgaria. This one is made from carefully hand-picked grapes from a noble Alsace variety - the Viognier. Vineyard is located in the immediate healing surroundings to the Melnik winery at about 500 m from the town, also named Melnik. Driven Harvested during the third week of September, in full maturity and with optimal parameters. The selection of the best Viognier grapes first goes under fermentation in 'Barrel Fermented' barrels, then "Sur lie" maturing in Bulgarian oak barrels for 6 months. Intensive and powerful wine, that has the perfect characters for a longevity !

Our tasting notes: 
The wine has a beautiful golden color. Nose is pure, intensive and influential. Complex of aromas: fresh yellow apple and peach, ripe lemon, quince, fresh mango, herbs, flowers. In the background, nicely based aromas of oak barrel maturation - roasted almonds, toast, vanilla oil, creamy and round nose. On the palate dry, intensive and full of typical Viognier "oily" mouthfeel. Very rich in taste, medium alcohol, with long, balanced aftertaste that develops for several seconds and fully maps the complexity of this wine. Top Bulgarian wine that deserves a place in your wine fridge!
